Please join us on July 30, 2026, at 2 PM for a 1-hour webinar on cheatgrass.

Registration for this event will begin on July 20 at 6 a.m. We are asking folks to register at www.mtweed.org through our database software. When you register, you will receive a link to attend and an option to post your question(s) for Dr. Mangold.

Cheatgrass is a non-native annual grass that is impacting rangelands, pastures, and natural areas in Montana. This webinar will discuss its biology, ecology, and management and is designed for the general public. Grass identification is difficult, so we will also cover its identification relative to other grasses, both desirable and otherwise. Come with your questions as there will be time for Q&A! Come join us
for a webinar designed to address the many aspects of this invasive annual grass.

Jane Mangold is a Professor and Extension Invasive Plant Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman. She has been developing and sharing research-based information on managing invasive and noxious weeds on Montana rangeland, pastures.
