The Community of Wise River & The Big Hole Basin Cooperative Weed Management Area would like to invite you to their annual fundraising banquet.  The event will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2043, at the Community Building in Wise River.  The event starts at 5 pm with a social hour featuring a no-host cash bar as well as the start of the silent auction.  Also, at 5 pm will be a bar-b-q featuring roasted meats, salads, and desserts. The Dillon Junior Fiddlers will be providing the entertainment during these events. Ticket prices on or before September 9^th will be $30 per couple, $20 individual, and $10 per child. Ticket prices after September 9^th will be $35 per couple, $25 individual, and $10 per child.  For more information or to order tickets please call 406-925-1346 or you can send an email to aburch@beaverheadcountymt.gov.  You can also reserve tickets online or print out a form to mail at www.mtweed.org.  Your pre-ordered/reserved tickets will be held for you at the door.  All tickets include admission to the buffet dinner as well as the silent and live auction. 

The MWCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit, which was started in the 1960’s by extension agents and weed managers. Over the years the MWCA has expanded to include professional weed managers, weed control businesses (grazing, commercial applicators, bio-control agent providers, re-vegetation, and planning specialists), ranchers/farmers, educators, researchers, students, government officials at the city, county, state and federal levels, recreationalists, visitors to Montana and private landowners. They are funded primarily through membership dues, fees from educational trainings and publications, specialty plate license plate fees, and grants and donations.

Those unable to attend can still support our efforts by making a cash donation or donating items for the silent or live auctions, or by bringing a dessert for the banquet. Please try to get any donations and/or auction items to us no later than Friday afternoon, September 13^th in Wise River at the Community building.  Please make your check payable to MWCA and reference Big Hole Basin CWMA or Weed Whackers Ball.  Mail your check to Weed Whackers Ball, PO Box 1455 Dillon, MT 59726.

All funds raised at the Weed Whacker Ball are used to support noxious weed management efforts within the Big Hole Valley! The Weed Whacker Ball committee genuinely appreciates your support and hopes to see you for this fun event in Wise River. It will be a great time for a great cause. Community support is vital to the success of the effort to control noxious weeds in our communities.
