Dr. Jane Mangold with MSU as announced the hiring of Dr. Megan Hager as Associate Extension Specialist and Plant Identification Diagnostician in the Schutter Diagnostic Lab on Bozeman campus. Megan’s first day in her new position was May 18.
Megan holds a PhD in Plant Biology from Montana State University, where she graduated in 2023. Her background is in wheat research, but she has been involved in plant identification since her time in community college. She has extensive experience as both a student and teaching assistant for many plant ID courses covering everything from common landscaping plants to grasses. In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking, gardening, painting, crochet and other various arts and crafts.
