On September 10, the MWCA Board of Directors voted to cancel the fall MWCA Weed Manager Training in Deer Lodge that was to be held October 14 & 15 due to COVID concerns and uncertainty. It is with great hope that in 2021 we can continue with our weed manager trainings in the spring and fall.
In the meantime, MWCA is working with the MT Dept of Agriculture and MSU to host a series of webinars later this fall, some of which would be applicable for re-certification credits.
The Board also voted to provide a virtual conference in place of their annual conference which was to be held in Great Falls in January. “Planning for our annual conference at this point is at a new starting point. We are working with Wyoming and will hold the virtual conference sometime within the first quarter of 2021,” says Becky Kington, MWCA Executive Director. Kington states that plans to host this conference with a virtual vendor section are in the works as well.
