Habitat:

 

 

 

Growth Habit:

 

Perennial, erect to 12 inches tall.

 

Leaves:

 

Lance-shaped, hairy, leaves are basal, occasionally 1 to 2 small leaves on stem.

 

Stem:

 

Erect, bristly, terminate, in an umbel of flower heads.

 

Flower:

 

5 to 30 per plant, re-orange, petals with notched tips.

 

Roots:

 

Fibrous.

 

Seeds:
