South East Area Council Events and Information

It seems to be trying to be spring over here. The days are warm and the nights are cold- so I'm sure that it will be awhile before anything much gets underway.

Custer County and Carter County each have new coordinators. Bud Powell (Carter) has retired and Paul Helland (Custer) has started a new job with the Bureau of Land Management. I truly wish Bud and Paul all the best.

I was able to visit with Shaunna Kerr (Carter County) a little bit- she's excited and nervous about spraying and weed control. However, she also said she is looking forward to this year. It is my understanding that she has worked for the Forestry before taking on the Weed Coordinator position and married with a little child.

I contacted Miles City and there was no information available at this time about their new Weed Coordinator.

That is all that is of news from the Southeast Area, so I'm ending with a hope that we all have good spring rains and not much wind for spraying season!
