Noxious Weed Seed Feed Free Advisory Council Looking for Volunteers to Sit on the Advisory Council

The Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) is recruiting for open positions on the Noxious Weed Seed Feed Free (NWSFF) Advisory Council.  The roll of this Advisory Council is to provide advice to the department concerning the administration of the Noxious Weed Seed Free Forage Act.  The Advisory Council is composed of 10 voting members (4 forage producer reps, 2 weed district reps, feed pellets/cube product rep, ag/livestock rep, outfitters & guides rep, and MDA Director) and 2 ex officio, nonvoting members.  The Advisory Council has one annual meeting, usually in Helena, to discuss the NWSFF Program accomplishments, the challenges, and future needs for the program.

►  The three positions currently open are:  two forage producer representatives and outfitters & guides representative.

►  The four position terms that will expire September 2014:  two weed district representatives, feed pellets/cube products representative, and one forage producer representative.
